1. Explain why you think failure occurred at the truss member where it did. Did your truss fail at the member that your calculations reveled as undergoing the most stress?
Yes, that member was under the most stress.
2. If given a chance to redesign your truss after testing, what changes would you make?
I would have tried to do a better job with gluing and cutting our trusses to make a better bond that would strengthen the truss, also, given the chance, I would have used a lot stronger wood if it was in a real life situation.
